Level Up Village Classes

What is LUV?

Level Up Village (LUV) classes are designed to deliver science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) curriculum to our partner schools, using accessible materials and promoting problem solving and collaboration. Working with topics such as water management, anatomy, video game design, and 3D printing builds students’ interest in fields that need a new generation of brilliant minds. In addition to providing supplementary education in these fields to our partner schools, the mission of these classes is to globalize the classroom. Level Up Village, Expo’s U.S.-based partner, provides the curriculum, teacher training resources, and access to its network of global partners to facilitate global collaboration between students in the form of video message exchange. In this way, the courses promote design thinking and collaboration on real-world problems between students in the U.S. and our partner schools, enabling them to build skills of collaboration and communication.

How does LUV work?

  • Classes taught after school with a local teacher, who is provided with online training from LUV along with the in-person support of the Expo Staff.

  • The students engage in one-to-one video letter exchanges with their Global Partner student, allowing students to learn about cultures all over the world
